The Middle of Nowhere Hunting & Shooting Supply Center, located in Sullivan County, Missouri, offers a wide range of activities for the outdoor enthusiast.
Gun & Archery Ranges
Our rifle, pistol and 3-D archery ranges, as well as our 5-stand course will open June 15th. The hours of operation are: Friday 1200-2000, Saturday 1000-2000, Sunday 1200-1800, Monday 1200-1900. Closed Tuesday - Thursday.
Our 3D Archery course features DELTA targets consisting of a variety of animals such as Raccoons, Lynx, Cougar, Bear, Woodchuck, Red Fox, Antelope, Turkey and Deer. Plan on a good hike for this course as it will have you walking a little more than one mile through an evergreen field and heavy timber via an old logging road. The majority of the targets are positioned for shots from 15 to 45 yards, but there is a good long shot for those that need a good challenge. WE will provide you a scoring sheet, a course overlay, and a "cheat sheet" with yardage for each shot if you need to take a peek!
Our facility also has a static (known distance (KD)) bullseye course with targets set at the 15, 25 and 35 yard line with several DELTA Deadstop targets.
Archers may only use field or target tips on all of the ranges.
Deer & Turkey Hunting
Northern Missouri offers some of the best hunting in the Midwest. Large deer and turkey are plentiful. Hunting packages (lodging & hunting) can be tailored to meet your needs. Daily rates for "hunting only" are available. We provide pre-positioned deer stands, assistance with moving your game and transportation to/from your stand. With more than 700 acres of contiguous territory, we limit the number of hunters for safety concerns. Contact us for a free guided tour of the area.
Trail Riding
Our trails vary from heavy woods to open pastures. We offer rolling hills, open pastures and seclusion. We have many dirt roads that are rarely traveled. Open riding is available. We have a limited number of stalls/pens available for rent. Open corrals and open pastures are also available.
Firearms Courses
Our staff consists of certified NRA Instructors. We conduct NRA Basic and NRA Instructor level courses and all of are NRA courses are POST certified for Law Enforcement Continuing Education. A Missouri Concealed Carry Course is also offered.
Overnight Accommodations
We offer two lodges for our overnight guests as well as RV/Trailer sites complete with electric (110, 30 & 50 amp) and water hookups (dump station is available). The "Eagle’s Nest" sleeps 6-8 adults and features 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room, mudroom, laundry room and a fully equipped kitchen. The "Roost" sleeps 4-6 adults and offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room and a fully equipped kitchen. A TV w/DVD/VCR is provided for each lodge. Movie rental available.
